Hi Joe. Let me tell you what I know about programming to the XBOX.

The XBOX processor is based on the IntelTM technology, which is a very we known platform by software developers, nowadays. In addition, the XBOX has a large library of software routines called Microsoft DirectXTM (if you are a PC gamer, you already know what is it), which are used by programmers to speed up the development process, without having to reinvent the whell everytime over and over again.

Those two features alone make the XBOX the easiest videogame console to programmers, and because of the simmilarities between the XBOX and the PC architecture, it is also easier to port XBOX games to PC, and vice-versa.
