Hey Lampion. Let me give you one example. This is from one of the 20 or so major up-coming XBOX games. The game is Xavier Fox an ACT/adv platformer coming in about 10-12 months. All the future games will have there own ideas and then some from there, but here is some exclusive Multiplayer news I have already been given through my network of spies.
One of the most exciting aspects of the Xbox hardware is its broadband capabilities. Vision Games plans to use all of the Xbox's strengths to create the most compelling and fun games possible, and the utilization of the Xbox Network will in no way be overlooked.
Xavier Fox: The Lost City will have a number of online features, one of which is the Multiplayer Island. Incorporated seemlessly with the single player game, the Multiplayer Island will allow Xbox owners with broadband access an even larger gaming world.
Multiplayer Island is the ultimate virtual theme park and chat room in one. On Multiplayer Island players will be able to compete and interact with people from around the world. A variety of contests and games, all based on single-player gameplay, will be available, with new games and strategies added to the island all the time. Players will be able to hone their fighting skills in one-on-one combat and free-for-all melees in one area, while others test their nautical skills in races or other games. Players will be able to search for buried treasure in a Spy vs. Spy style team arena, or simply stroll through the streets chatting with friends.
Multiplayer Island offers an opportunity for a worldwide Xavier Fox community, including worldwide High Score lists for each game on the island.
Not only will Multiplayer Island be a unique and fun environment in which to improve game skills, but it will directly affect the single player game. Multiplayer Island will offer an opportunity to win prizes in the form of money and items that are usable both on Multiplayer Island and in the single player game world. In addition, you will be able to purchase items from the many stores on the island.
This is just one of the ways Xavier Fox: The Lost City will take advantage of the broadband capabilities of Microsoft's Xbox.

This Fall the XBOX will show us just the tip of it's massive iceberg. Multi-player will be a major player in 2002.
Stay cool Lampion.
No negativity, it's sooo nice, just peace like an Austrin or Swiss Alpine Lake, sweet, bring on that XBOX news.
