Another way to do it is to make Elum fall down the hole by himself but using a rock is less cruel I have to say.

And back to when I was talking about Elum not regenerating, I found out what was going on.
Ok. Go to the screen with the first set of three moving bombs in Scrabania. Then run back to the previous screen and die. Abe will regenerate in the screen with the moving bombs but Elum will not.
Now, why and how does this work and where is Elum? Well, I tried pulling this off in a different spot and discovered that if you die in certain places in certain ways, Abe and Elum can reload in different spots to one another. And here are the screenshots to prove it!
