In the area where I live, there is lots of graffitti saying 'Kill bin Laden!'. These terrorist attacks were meant to make us panic and drive ourselves apart with fear. I believe that's what we did for the first few hours after the tragedy occured, but now we are not dividing. We are uniting against our common enemy. It wasn't just Americans who were among the dead. There were over 500 Britons in the towers when they collapsed, so that gives Britain another reason to mourn, besides the fact that the USA is one of the noble allies of ours.
I have cried more about this in the past few days than I had during the past few months before that. Those Palestinian children celebrating in the streets are going to grow up thinking it is acceptable to kill people who are different from you. Killing is the answer to nothing. It saddens me when people think it is, and it makes me weep when they kill thousands as a result.
Britain is with you all the way, America.
