IC:

"You know, it's probably a good thing Anni's not here. She hates vykkers." Jim informed Ralph quietly as they saw a vykker (Opril) enter the production lines.

"I don't much like them myself," Ralph muttered, "them and their sadistic experiments."

Appearing to have either not heard or just ignored Jim's question, the vykker promptly got up and left the area again. Ralph looked across at Jim with his eyebrows raised, then shook his head and said, "Well, good riddance I say."

Anni had just agreed to execute their plan when the robot SU-01 spoke again, "I'm going to enter the room and make sure everything and everyone is alright. Please stand back from the door if you can. Opening door in 5...4...3...2...1..."

"This can't be good..." Hembar quietly said to the other two mudokons

Then there was a loud smash and the lab door came crashing down on the ground. Hembar quickly tried to position herself where she could defend both Anni and Mars from a possible attack while the robot entered the doorway and stopped, waiting for the dust to clear.

Then it suddenly seemed to go berzerk for a few seconds, after which is seemingly calmed down and said "What are you all doing here?"

Hembar gave Mars and Anni a look as if to say What's wrong with this thing?, but then one of the sligs from before (Flad) came running in and aimed his gun at Mars, asking him, "For a terrorist your not doing that much terrorising, no sabotage, no rescues. What are you doing here?"

Following him came a new vykker she hadn't seen before (Opril), who started talking about operating on the younger mudokon.

"If you so much as lay a finger on him, I will personally make sure you never operate on anyone ever again," she threatened, "He's just a kid!"
