Ahh, I loved Caesar III. But I was closer to the Egyptians, so I liked Pharoa more... ...Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. Interesting characters in a beautiful world wth a pretty good story to match.

I used to play crystal Chronicles with my brother and sister back when we had a GBA each. Actually i've just realized I never finished it.
