Eh.. Sometimes the person really friggin deserves it.. Like when you try to repeat to them a certain thing they should understand, but they still don't do the right thing... Then the only thing you can do is sigh and negrep... Maybe that should make them listen.

People seem to be so worked up over negrep. So it works, right?
I don't think anyone is abusing it... If someone negreps you just because you have a different opinion, I think you should notify the mods, and maybe they can do something about it.
I think there should be rules to protect people from irresponsible negrep. Mods can see everyone's negrep history and comments, so this shouldn't be a problem.
