I'm only 14, so I'm a little way aways.
Here in Ohio, Oosah (that's how I pronounce "USA"), We have to be 15 years and six months to take the test. The test consists of a large written test on traffic regulations and soforth, and maybe 2-3 actual driving tests. Once you get your temporary licence, you can drive anywhere you want as long as their's a licenced adult sitting next to you. That way, you can practice driving for the test for your real licence when your 16. Those tests usually have training courses before taking them, and they usually take about 2-3 weeks (the training, I mean). Once you do that, you take a couple more tests (I'm not exactly sure how many. I'm still only 14) and then you get your official driver's licence! Woo!
