Hm... You guys need to learn the difference between each graphic editing program and what works and doesn't. Paint isn't really a photo editing software and nor is it a composition one either.
Paint works really well for pixel art because it is so simple, easy and has great short cuts... They could be better though.

But getting a program such as Photoshop is a good thing if you're planning on doing quality work. If you don't have the money or uh.... sources to get Photoshop, then I suggest getting Gimp. It's a great, free program that can do most of the thing Photoshop can too... And if you're not planning on becoming a professional photo editor, then Gimp works just fine.

It takes a month at most to learn the basics, and from then on it's all just fun and further studying

But yea... I like the diagonal lines too... I just feel that with a better program this image would have become so much better. It would also have provided better opportunities to make nice details and stuff.
