As a more extreme solution you could......

1. Install Ubuntu linux / dual boot it with Windows
2. Install Wine
3. Install AO
4. Install RecordMyDesktop
5. Use RecordMyDesktop to record AO running under wine

Edit: Assuming you already own AO, this is totally free too
