Symphonic and progressive metal is what I can tolerate, because the emphasis on the singing is equal to the music, rather than just mindless screaming and growling.

Same. It's mostly 15 year old idiots who's minds have been taken in by 'hating everything', and frankly, it's pretty fucking pathetic.
Also, overlistened songs are annoying. Sure, when you were a few years younger the song was okay and tolerable, but now you have so many wankers listening to a particular song that's just...you know,
get with the fucking times.
