OWI didn't quit. They went under due to poor sales and other such issues.
EA screwed them over, its what
EA does.
Oddworld was popular with the average intelligent gamer, but gone are the days where video-games made you part of an exclusive club of isolative geniuses. Now the bulk of gamers are made up of the Halo and Madden fan, whose intelligence barely exceeds that of a carrot - their taste is no better.
