i don't see eminem as a bad influence, i just think he is shit. i am not a big hip-hop fan at the best of times, but i really hate people who become very popular despite having no real talent. eminem is one of these people. the only reason he is so popular is the fact that he swears a lot. i have no objection to swearing, as long as there is some actually good music to back it up, which in eminem's case, there isn't.
however, the reason i really hate eminem is because he came up with a whole new personality so that he can say all kinds of racist/sexist/homophobic crap and then say 'it wasn't me who said that, it was slim shady'. he really does make me sick.
for the record, insane clown posse are shit too, along with all hip-hop 'artists'.
