He will use his connections and the friends he's made over the years to catalyze a new project, with or without the attached title of "Oddworld Creator and Executive Producer".
If you have an idea and a bangin' portfolio, it's not that hard to get back into work. Lorne is taking his sweet old time, yes. But make no mistake, he does have something in the works. I find it ironic that you're all so starved for his creations that you take to bashing the creator himself. Bite the hand that feeds you so to speak.
I know this is a scary eye-opener for some of the people here, but there are other games out there besides Oddworld. Until Lorne gets back on his feet, perhaps you guys should try worshiping Tim Schaffer for a while.
However, the likelihood we'll see another Oddworld game from him, I believe, is almost nill atp. Unless of course the bastard mods are withholding information like they tend to do and Lorne really is working on something new.

Check the "What are you playing" thread. None of us are sitting on our hands, waiting for the next Oddworld game. Also, we probably wouldn't bash him if he was a bit more straight forward about what is going on with his company. It's that shit eating grin, combined with his cryptic hints, and incessant whining about the game industry that causes people to bash him.
