Anyway I'm not against adding/revealing the human aspect of the Spartans, but I think this is perhaps a bit too drastic in comparison to what I'm being accustomed to as a regular Halo fan.

It's a not a fucking scene from the goddamn series, it's a poster about the whole thing.
Most likely, it's the character remembering something from childhood involving friendship and a teddy pendant and stuff. I can pretty much guarantee there will be no Spartans defending an endless field of flowers with two girls standing around.
Unless Gainax was involved.
