I can see the Ubuntu logo on the bottom left, but what is the desktop environment?

It's a bit of a combination, using the Compiz window manager (though you can't really tell that from a
desktop screen), the Avant Window Navigator (which creates the bar down the bottom), and then I just have a screenlets application which gives you a bunch of widgets to throw around (e.g. the ubuntu logo which is actually access to the menus, the calendar etc). The top panel is just the normal one.

It's surprising how many people I can confuse with this desktop background, I didn't think their logo was that hard to read. Perhaps that's just because I heard their name
before I saw the logo though. Regardless of readability it
does make a very good wallpaper though
