The set I've got are Ray-Bans and they're called the 'Clubmaster' model. These have the horn-rim top with wire rim bottom and were available in black and tortoise-shell (mine are the latter), but they've not been available for about 20 years.
On the other hand the Ray Ban 'Wayfarer' is still available and are relatively plentiful. They have more of a thick-black-frame all the way around the lens 'rockabilly' look but I see them EVERYWHERE. They're very popular. I used to have a set and wore them until I found a set of the clubmasters that I really wanted.
I think the Clubmasters are much more distinguished. Check on ebay, they're good looking shades.
