Since I know how to make music I may be able to help out. Lowering the quality of the sounds for now could help, It won't be like that in the full game but it compresses it and makes the game still better to test and smaller in size. Also, trimming the song down to just an interesting part too helps keep file size down to a minimum although it would sound kinda.... tacky i guess...

There's no need, the small files are about 126Kb and that's defiantly small enough.
They are trimmed, and made to loop. Also the small files are mono and have a lower kbps. There's no way to make them smaller without loosing so much quality that its unlistenable.
