I think the fact that I'm just making comments, rather than displaying some wondrous idea is kind of a clue
But seriously, I’m totally out of funny ideas. I think the first thing we need to do is find a way of reinstalling the universe. I had considered just making a cartoon with the background after joshkrz's first 'proper' cartoon (as in one where something actually happens) which, in the first frame, said 'Good, that cartoon proved an ample distraction for this clearly awful continuity'.
