Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*I've encountered people like that, too. I used to go to an inner-city middle school that was a very scary place due to the amount of gang activity that existed there. Sometimes the best way to deal with bullies like that is not to deal with them at all. I found that when confronted by gang members for no reason, "doing nothing" really did work. I wasn't stupid enough to fight them, so when they started slapping me around and tripping me, I would just stand there. I'll tell you they got sick of that pretty fast.. Once I started doing that, nobody would ever bother me in that way because they knew that they wouldn't get their satisfaction. Don't get me wrong; I didn't just let them pound me- I just moved around and never touched them back. It made me feel good too, because the non-violent approach always prevailed over the violent one. I even made a good friend by doing that once. One person hated me so much for reasons I never knew, and one day he hocked a loogie in my face and was suprised when I didn't get mad or try to fight him. I just wiped it off and continued with what I was doing. He even told me that he respected me much much more. It's too bad that more people don't take this approach.

Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Back on course toward the topic, I always get a great sense of satisfaction when I come here and know that our community, which is composed of many different people from all over the world, can talk together and share ideas with very little if any prejudice. This is one of my favorite places to be.
