I merely meant to say that any major change in scientific advancement should be celebrated, not viewed as some kind of academic betrayel, Hawkings earlier books, after all, provided important groundwork for his later theories. The fact that he had the scientific integrity to admit that he wrote books full of disproven theories puts him a step above so called scientists like Skinner who went to his death in the 60s with an almost religious like conviction that all human behaviour was learnt from our parents and our peers. Even though these theories of his had been disproved decades ago.
