Veggo was inspired by every 'heroic' prison guard I've ever seen/read/etc. Hence there are too many to mention
. I actually feel like writing a prison story now, but I wasn't sure whether to send Nathaniel to prison, or just write about a prison officer. I decided with the latter. I'm not entirely sure where I'm going with this... I think I just wanted to write about Sligs as if they were human... which is what they are really.
