Geek = intelligent, often leaning towards technology-related interests and a distain for popular culture and fashion.
Nerd = possibly intelligent, no social skills and an inability to understant popular culture and fashion.

Fair enough. Then I am official retracting my previous statement about geeks not being hot. I am, afterall, a geek myself by the above standards and as plenty of people will testify, I am actually quite hot.
