Aye Gluk. If the world wasn't constantly changing...we would all still be amobias. Evolution occurs because of constant change in the environment.
Here's something to think about. There are many races of domesticated dogs today...all of which are descendents of wolves. Early man started taking pups and taming some of the wolves thousands of years ago. Over time with mans influence, they 'evolved' into the many different kinds of dogs we know of today. Now this is not really 'true' evolution...as it was human guided.
Here is another example one of true evolution:
There are two groups of monkeys (don't remember what it is called) that live next to a canyon, one group on either side. They are the same species...but look slightly different from each other. How? A long time ago the canyon wasn't deep enough to prevent the monkeys from intermiggling. As the canyon got wider and deeper due to the forces of erosion, the two groups couldn't intermiggle anymore...so they started going seperate ways evolution wise.
