Resident Evil 5 is a good game, but compared to Resident Evil 4 or similar games, it's just lacking in something.

First thing I have to complain about is the levels. I agree that they are way way too short for what I was expecting. There is just not enough to do in each chapter, however they're well designed and I wish there were more.

Some of the enemies also really piss me off, like those masked twats when you get the magnum (I hate wasting magnum ammo, it forces you to use it because you've wasted so much ammo just trying to get there).

I also hate JJ/the guy with the gatling gun because around the end of the game your ammo goes down the drain alot quicker with those armed infected and armoured ones. He just seems a lot more powerful than what he was and i had to dispose of him by constantly waiting for more proximity mines.

The guns are just awesome, I just left Sheva with her pistol and maxed it out just to balance her out against the tougher enemies. I hate how she always uses the stun rod instead of the pistol when she has ammo, however, it annoys the shit out of me when she just stands still for ages then finally twitches and kills everything. My favourite weapon is probably the Dragunov or the Grenade launcher, just cause I get loads of ammo with it.

I was a little disappointed with the boss battles. They seemed all too similar to the ones from Resident Evil 4, just easier. I liked killing the huge spider though, Grenade Launcher + Magnum = instant death. Oh, and the huge Uroboros thingy on the ship. Didn't like how there was only one El Gigante/Ogre/CAVETROLL in the entire game and how it was the easiest boss in the game.

Also some of the achievements were way too easy, like knife a crossbow bolt for 60 gamerscore. Just a campfest of waiting and timing around chapter 1-2 or something.




TL;DR: Graphically better, slightly shorter Resident Evil 4 with some new guns and a few new enemies along with a few other cool looking things.

Edit: Oh yeah I also managed to get the infinite ammo upgrades for everything within a few days or more.
