I think he meant the fact that bulldogs have been bred for various physical features that result in them being unhealthy, particular wrt breathing issues.
And they can't even give birth naturally the majority of the time because of their huge head proportions. I'm thinking the english/british bulldog, rather than the pit bull terrier. Not that I don't get them mixed up anyway. Dobermans may also be one of the worse breeds, but obviously the problems are slightly different.
Aggressiveness is a mental (usually) issue, and I believe alot of it is more how most owners of a breed treat their dog, as opposed to genetic influence (though this is sometimes a factor, particularly when considering what purpose the dog breed was initially for. Jack Russel, anyone?).
