This complaining at Strangers' superior strength is surprising, in a way. In the art book, the Stranger section at the end discussed the previous thing about having Oddworld's character physically weak, but powerful in other ways. A good theology was worked for Stranger into his game, considering it's necessity after Munch's huge flop. Whilst Stranger is physically much more capable than Abe or Munch, he initially lacks their morals and care for others that Abe and Munch start out with. Where Abe and Munch find 'power' in certain forms and the ability to achieve their goals, Stranger starts realising about and caring for those around him (namely the Grubbs), and having the power to do something about it.
Stranger's Wrath was, of course, needed for a sort of last gasp, for some money to try to rebuild from where they'd ended up, hence EA being the publisher also. Also why it has thus taken such a long, gradual process.

Anything else has been mentioned already.
