Everyone's saying that the only similarity between SW and the other games are Vykkers and Fuzzles, but I disagree. If you look close enough there are loads of other things, such as the 'Beware of Slogs' signs (though without the writing) in various places like the sewers and near the Grubb temple; the airships that carry Wolvarks are very similar in design to the ones in MO, and there's that class of Wolvarks called 'Slog Handlers'. Then there's things like the Mongo River and Elum's Spine (the mountain range on the map). The list goes on.
I myself like SW and think it was a good idea of OWI to make a game in a different region. If they kept reusing Abe, things would eventually get boring. Besides, they kept the same basic storyline elements (native world struggling against industrial world) and to me that's all that matters.
