Hmm... seems I haven't updated this page in awhile. Might as well do so now, right? As I recently stated in my blog, I got into painting using water colors. Sorry about the terrible quality, I had to use a camera for this due to my lack of scanner.

First, these were just a pure test. Some grapes, nothing big. I ran out of red three quarters of the way through it, so thinking fast, I finished it with blue because obviously blue makes for a perfect red. Also, those white spots were supposed to be highlights. They look like crap and I'm not going to mask anything anytime soon for just that reason.

Awhile ago, I was mixing colors to get used to mixing water colors. It's far easier than oils, but it dries out so quickly. I kept having to remix it, and each time I got a different shade of green. The first green I got made me think of a slig, so I thought I'd try it out. The green ran out too quickly though, so as an alternative I used it as practice for the mask. It's very difficult to get a glowing effect with water color by the way. I realize the "tentacles" are too long, but there was nothing I could do about it.

And last but not least, I wanted to attempt a full body scrab with no reference just for the hell of it. I think it turned out pretty good, but better in reality obviously. That green thing is supposed to be a cactus.

Oh yea, and I decided I didn't like how the meech was turning out so I restarted it.
