My name's Tim and I work for Ballistic. I see there is some consternation about the cost of the Folio Edition and the motives behind the release of it. The Folio edition was made to celebrate the Reprint run of the original version. Its intended to be uber-limited and is aimed at the most hardcore of fans and collectors.
If the price seems too steep, bear in mind that there are thousands of new Hardback editions available, as well as several hundred of the original Limited Edition books, plus one or two of the original soft covers still available. So if the Folio edition is a bit rich, there's still plenty of other options for getting a hold of this fantastic book

This does nothing to explain
why the pricing is what it is. Except to say "Hey, these people like this. Let's sell them the same thing they already have at an exorbitant price. Maybe we'll laugh at them, as well." This is the sort of thing that makes already disgruntled fans a bit more disgruntled.
