lol you're kidding right? I like the Gears story somewhat, but for the mysterious Locust. Not the half-baked Dom's wife thing. You go the whole first game without a mention of this woman, but suddenly throughout the second game Dom won't stop crying about her. I found the mystery of Marcus Fenix's father far more interesting then the < insert dramatic romance here > sub plot.

They actually did foreshadow the whole Maria thing in the first game. The stranded who lends them the car says that he's had no luck in finding "the lady".
Ghost: The rift in the covenant (which takes up quite a bit of the story) could be called political drama. It could be called that if it was better written.
