The story was assinine. It made little sense and tried so hard to be more than it was. The political drama aspect of it felt like it was written by a person with down syndrome who had watched the first season of DS9.

The only problem I have with Halo's storyline is it takes itself too seriously. Like it isn't some sort of cheesy Sci-Fi story, but something more, this is why I consider the Gears Universe to have a better story, they know that the story isn't going to be taken seriously.*

When Maria died, that was the saddest moment of any videogame ever though for me.
