I think most of us have been quite restrained, no one has really insulted anyone yet. It's natural that this kind of discussion would pop up somewhere, and no one has been behaving offensively. Having said that, I'm sorry if I have been a little agressive.
This is how the discussion has
evolved:
Animal Rights were being discussed when vegetarianism was brought up. Someone made the correct statement that humans were animals. This statement was refuted by someone who backed up their claims with scripture. Others insisted that humans were animals and backed up their claims with facts. I don't know why, but this prompted someone from the literal-bible side to bring evolution into the discussion. So evolution was discussed.

I mean Sydney, you may know all of this evolution and know about all other religions and their books, and speaking out of your behind out of it, but you don't know anything about christianity...it seems closed-minded

I know what Christianity is and I used to be in a scripture class in which a lot of the bible was covered. That doesn't mean I have to follow the bible as literal dogma. I'm a pacifistic Christian/Agnostic. I believe the bible is the
inspired word of God, but certainly not literal. Revelations describes a dragon flying across the sky, collecting the stars in its wings. We know what stars are and this couldn't be possible. I believe it is symbolic, just like Genesis. I'm not closed minded, but in a discussion about worldy things it makes no sense to bring religion in and use it as backup for your claims. I am willing to introduce new concepts and expand my mind.

it seems closed-minded. It saids in the bible, that you may have all the knowledge of the world, but if you lack the knowledge of God, than your a fool. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I am just stating what the Bible saids. The bible does'nt sugar code everything. You can't sugar code everything. I mean, it's like that your running away from the bible or something.

No offense intended here, but it seems you are the one who is close minded. You're unwilling to accept any information other than what it says in the bible. You're entitled to your beliefs, but when introducing them into an argument to prove a point, you should back them up with facts.
