Pinkhaired, if you passed with such a high grade in biology, then you should be well aware of all aspects of the theory that describes evolution. Firstly, as Middlesboogie explained, we didn't evolve
from monkeys but we share common ancestory. And to explain why
some species don't die out when other species supercede them, surely you have learned about isolation? If several groups of the same species become isolated from each other, the environments in which the groups are isolated will result in the selection of diferent characteristics.

I'm afraid what you heard was wrong. The limit on accurate carbon 14 dating is around 50,000 years, owing to the short half-life (5,730 years) of carbon 14. We all know that dinosaurs have been extinct for a lot longer than 50,000 years. I'd be more careful about believing everything you hear in the bible channel.
