You may not believe in evolution, but that is something that needs evidence to prove correct. Humans are animals by definition, which needs no evidence to prove because there is nothing to prove. Someone defined animals, and humans fit that definition.
Evolution, however, is one of those things that IS kind of like the people-thought-the-world-was-flat kind of thing. It has been proven (sort of), but some theories suggest that evolution is not real.
However, NO theories suggest that humans are not animals, because every living thing on this planet other than plants are animals. We are simply the dominant animals who are very smart. Nowhere does it say that if you are smart and can reason that you are not an animal.
