PETA is funny.

The funny thing is that the people who really work with animals, like people running those shelters, sanctuaries and zoos, want absolutely nothing to do with PETA. I've been part of a mailing list for exotic animal owners for a while. These are people who keep exotic animals (like big cats, monkeys, birds, reptiles, ect) as pets or in a private sanctuary. Whenever a post was made concerning PETA, absolutely EVERYONE opposed them. If one of those people would be able to save their animal from death by supporting PETA then they still wouldn't because no one in the REAL animal industry want's anything to do with them.

PETA's target audience is not the animal holder community (which you'd expect, since getting those people on your side would greatly increase your chances of realizing your goals) but the average Joe Smoe at home. What they do is show their idiot commercials to people who have no idea where their meat comes from and then start making them feel guilty about it. The result is thousands of people who support a cause they know nothing about. I'd even make the bold statement that not a single PETA supporter has ever had any hands on experience with animals. The only experience PETA supporters have is hands on experience with DEAD animals.
