If by "epic" you mean mysterious and dark then sure, but in my opinion "epic" is by scale and I thought Exoddus was more broad than Oddysee.
However I love both games nearly equally (Exoddus a little more, and probably for the same reasons most hate it).
I must admit Oddysee was MUCH harder than Exoddus...so hard I can barely get through it. (I guess I suck)
