I was going to flame you and insult your intelligence, but I realised that wouldn't be very constructive, so I deleted it.

Scientific studies can get exemptions for that sort of thing. Sure, they'd have to get it approved, but after all, stopping research on something because material involved is illegal is pretty contrary to progress, and not many governments are that dumb. Regulation, yes. But banning research into illegal material because illegal material is handled is stupid.
You have no idea, I study Psychology at Glasgow university using the standard APA guideline for ethical implications of experiments, what expertise have you got? Governments do not control Psychological studies, university guidelines do, including ethical panels using a wide range of academic and naive judges, in the current climate of political correctness we're in I cannot see any of them consenting to using pedophilic material to conduct research.

Also it should be noted that my statement is applicable to Western World cultures in the last twenty to thirty years, I can fully accept this experiment happening if those conditions are not met, although in that case I cannot see the results of such an experiment being very viable at all.
