What the fuck is people's problem with Gypsies? They're poor wandering bards. Of course some are scumbags, but calling them all awful fuckers is rather racist, assuming we're talking about the Romany tribes in Europe and India.
Hippies, on the other hand... Every one I've met has been lazy, spaced-out and fucking obnoxious. The whole thing comes from "revolutionaries" in San Francisco that dropped shit-tons of acid and smoked meth. They are naught but drug-addled wastes. I appreciate their contribution to kicking off counter-culture, but shit, other than they are goddamn useless.
EDIT: I guess they're kind, can't fault 'em for that. But still fucking useless.
