I do not understand why parents would decide to circumcise their kid. Unless there's some medical problem I do not see the reasoning.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but there seems to be some propaganda out there about the issue of circumcision and how it engenders cleanliness. After all, cleanliness is godliness, as they say.
