Due to the ever-changing nature of semantics and linguistics, I'm afraid that on the web the grammar and vocabulary is more descriptive than prescriptive, which unfortunately often leads to a change in the norm of grammar and semantics. Internet 'grammar' will eventually seep into the outside world like mud though a sock.
