I've only played AO, but I love the dark atmosphere, the rythmes and more serious tone of AO, that is absent from the games after it.
Going to get AE on steam if I have any internet downloadings left after 60 days because ever since I moved I'm on prepaid untill I get back again, which sucks because I have to watch everything I do.
