Can't say anything that hasn't been said, but really, do you bray the little shits back? If not, do so. You cannot stand for this, really, show them that you're serious, and to get them wondering what the hell you're on about, if they abuse you verbally, resopond to them by speaking a sentence which involves them being referred to as myopic little dilettantes. As soon as they scratch their heads thinking 'what', it makes it possible for you to laugh at their lack of knowledge.
Although I'm not too sure if that last part will be that good, only use it as a last resort.
