There's a Sony and Oddworld thread AND a Nintendo and Oddworld thread. Is this Buzzy another account of GlukkonGluk? Because I've looked through old thread titles and there's no other thread with a title like this. Anyway, here's what I think of it: You might think the DS is the best platform for a 2D Oddworld game, because of the way there are so much good 2D games on the DS. Yes, these games are good, but do they resemble Oddworld in any way? Most 2D games don't resemble Oddworld, but the PSP is a better platform for a 2D Oddworld game, because:
1. The DS' graphics. People rarely judge games based on the graphics, but we're talking about Oddworld, not a regular 2D adventure. Sure Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus don't have very good graphics, but their graphics are enough to make the game look mysterious. The DS' cartoony graphics aren't. PSP has perfect graphics to make you think something mysterious is going on in those backgrounds.
2. The length of DS games. One thing that is known about the 2D Oddworld games, is that they use up as much disk space as possible. Abe's Exoddus even needed 2 disks. Now, think about where you can put more data: into a DS cartridge, or into a PSP UMD?
3. The intros. The PSP can make even better Oddworld-style intros than the PlayStation. Imagine viewing a dark, mysterious jungle, full of Paramites, in 3D. Is that possible on the DS?
