Haven't played silent hill, so can't realy make a serious contribution.
But a empty white space which showed flashbacks of your past and a pyramid head as yourself would be totally cliched, but it would freak me out.
Who needs monsters? We all know teenagers are bored of them. Instead we need bright colours and flashing lights and random gibberish that's gradually ruining the english language.
