This is not what the Dear Alf question and answers says. The questioner only asks if Abe would have to travel through ‘Meecharnia’ had the Meeches not been extinct. Alf gives the affirmative. Either way, this has no direct bearing on whether the Mudokons worshipped Meeches.

Scrabania and Paramonia were built for the worship of scrabs and paramites respectively. It stands to reason therefore that Meecharnia or Meechonia or Meechapalooza or whatever would have been built for the worship of meeches.
