Personally, I think MO lacks Wildlife areas, and focuses more on the Industrial stuff. And whatever Wildlife area there was, it was enclosed behind walls. In the new game I'd love to see more of the stuff you see in AO and AE, like Scrabania, but expanded, to make you feel as if you're in a real desert.
As we follow the story of the quintology, the heroes travel from the absolute middle of nowhere 3rd world environment of Abe's Oddysee to the centre of power in Mudos in story five. It makes sense that MO would have less wildlife and more industrial.
