ooc: Venks, please edit the profile of your new character into your first post as him in this thread [rant/]
MM, Jim was just in the room where the fire was, and is having difficulty breathing. He went to the lab looking for a medic and is now sitting on the table waiting for one to show up. I have to say you came back to the forums just at the right time for him

Also, I hope now Dek might recall the oddity he discovered in Anni

Since he's alone now he'll have to face the dilema alone.
IC:
Anni fell silent at that comment,
'being a native isn't all it's cracked up to be'...
She'd always seen it as an idillic alternative. Sure, it'd involve a lot more work, but it was work for good, work they did because they chose to, not because they were told to. But of course, even the natives were in danger from glukkons, and Abe's attacks on the Cartel couldn't be helping the situation for them, even if it was helping the slaves. But at least they were
free!
Hembar's question broke her reverie, "Huh?"
She looked down at her hand and saw the white mark clarly emblazoned there looking bigger than it had last time she had noticed it. But when the handscars had appeared before her hand had itched, and this time she'd felt nothing strange. Thinking fast, she turned over her other hand so the other mudokon wouldn't notice the black mark (if it had appeared too; Anni didn't stop and check) and quickly lowered the white-marked hand, hoping Hembar hadn't looked too closely.
"Oh, it's nothing. Spilt some paint on myself and I just sort of doodled in it. Guess I should wash it off." She grinned up at the other mudokon.

Dionysia was aware of a lot of running feet and running sligs' pants, and even a slog barking. Still blinded, she groped her way to the wall and stumbled back towards the cafeteria.
The image of then mud glowing like the sun was brozen in her vision, but as she staggered back she began to faintly see the corridor moving through that image. After that her sight rapidly returned, more or less, and she looked around. The corridor was empty apart from that freak-girl-slig that had followed her from the cafeteria.
She could hear noises from the warehouse however, so she stumbled over to the slig, grabbed her by the arm and told her, "Come on, I think he's run through there." Hopefully the slig's eyes should be recovering too.
ooc: I'll finish the IC after this ooc: I looked up flash-grenades and discovered that their blinding effects only last about 5 seconds, so I thought it would be reasonable to assume that our girls (

) should have recovered by now, particularly since Cylepso's eyes were protected partially by her mask.
Gretin, feel free to have Hembar notice the hand-scar for what it is, and maybe read some meaning into it. If you want to add anything specific could you PM me with your ideas first, so I can ensure it matches with my plans?

Krik granted the intern an 'I'm only paying you enough attention to be unimpressed' expression and answered, "Haven't you any work to be getting on with? I believe the medical and scientific facilities in this building are on the floor above. That's where I'd expect you to find the laborotory staff as well."
ooc: Good luck Dek!
