Well apparently the main character in SH5 is an ex marine, so the combat isn't going to be as clunky.
I guess that also means he'll be better with guns. I just hope that doesn't mean the ground is going to be littered with them.

Also, SH5 is going to made by a completely different company (American, I think). Similar to how CoD3 and CoD5 are made by Treyarch instead of Infinity Ward, ironically.
That being said, I have high hopes for it as well. Monster design looks so much better than some of SH4's mediocre designs. This new company that's making it is supposedly composed of long-time SH fans, so maybe it won't suck.
