OOC:Heh, well, even though this is a pretty small thing I just thought I'd point out - even my character Hembar's current conversation with Anni is really helping me develop her as a character, something I have a feeling would be a lot more difficult if one of these amazingly catastrophically catastrophic catastrophes happened (try saying THAT fast ).
So yeah, I pretty much agree with the above, I can't really say how well I've followed it because I find it a little difficult to judge my own performance at anything unbiased, but I definately agree. Anyway, enough pointless rambling from me.

IC:

Anni shook her head again. "One evil person isn't as bad as a group of them, isn't as bad as the Cartel. They don't have restraints, except to stop people becoming more powerful than they are, so they'd do anything to stop them; even worse things."

"I guess you're right... Generally they do tend to make things worse, it's pretty rare for a place outside of the Cartel to be worse. It does happen, but not often."

Hembar paused and thought for a moment, then carried on, "But I think the worst thing with the Magog Cartel is how they stomp out anything that tries to do away with their traditional cruelty and such.

"And this place is actually a fine example of that. I'll have to admit, I do know a fair bit more about Rupture Farms than I was letting on before. A lot of mudokons have started to see this place as a sort of new hope, that it's possible for them to be happy as employees of an industrial factory.
But maybe that's why the Cartel want to stomp that sort of thing out. Perhaps they don't want us having hope!"
